A corporate profile that had to survive being printed badly

About the client
Millcon & Millcon Consult Limited is a management consultancy working across project management, business consultancy, executive training, trade facilitation and ICT. Its clients and affiliates include organisations that procure formally, which means the profile document is not marketing collateral. It is part of a bid.
The brief
Design a corporate profile that works as a screen PDF and as a document someone prints on an office machine, reads in a meeting, and photocopies. It had to hold up in greyscale, at low resolution, and stapled.

The approach
Every service is a numbered band with a single-line benefit statement above the detail, so a reader who only skims the numbers still leaves knowing what the firm does. The bands are separated by shape and number rather than by colour alone, which is what keeps the page legible when it comes out of a black-and-white printer.
The partners page is the one that does the persuading, so it gets the space: a clean grid of affiliate marks at a consistent optical size rather than at their native ones, which is the difference between a wall of logos that reads as credentials and one that reads as clutter. The green gradient and leaf mark carry through every page as the only decorative element, so nothing competes with the content for a reader who is comparing three bids at once.
Helping organizations reach their full potential.
Most corporate profiles look fine on a laptop and collapse the moment a client prints them on a regular office printer. This one still looks serious even on average paper.
